Ketupat (in Indonesian Language) is a type of dumpling made from rice packed inside woven palm leaf pouch. It is commonly found in Indonesia, Malaysia, Brunei, Singapore, and the Philippines. Ketupat is most plentiful at the time of the celebration of Idul Fitri holiday, when Muslims celebrate the end of the fasting month.
Typical foods that are using ketupat, among other things, ketupat kandangan, kupat glabet, Grabag, coto makassar, lotek, and gado-gado, which can be served with ketupat. Ketupat can also be served to accompany the Satay, although something called lontong is more common.
Ketupat is cut open, its skin (woven palm leaf) being removed, the inner rice cake is cut in pieces, and served as staple food, as the replacement of plain steamed rice. It usually eaten with rendang, opor ayam, sayur labu (jicama soup), sambal goreng ati (liver in sambal) or served as an accompaniment to satay (chicken or beef or lamb in skewers) or gado-gado (mixed vegetables with peanut sauce).
In a real life the color of the ketupat is green, but in this template the color of the ketupat is a soft light pink combine with a soft purple.
